The 5000 Series Extra Heavy Duty Pushbutton Lock is the latest addition to the line of mechanical pushbutton locks. The Simplex 5000 offers unparalleled strength, convenience, and flexibility. Exterior access is by combination. Egress is by interior lever and is free at all times. 5000 Series locksets are the best choice for limiting access to high-traffic, security-sensitive areas in commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial buildings. These locks are ideal for locations with a high personnel turnover rate such as date processing centers, employee entrances, R&D labs, apartments, dormitories, and restricted areas in hospitals, airports and other institutions. Door Handing: Non-handed, field-reversible (pre-assembled for left-hand door installations). Number Keypad: Vandal resistant, 5 button, plus Enter button. Strike: ASA and standard strike plates are included. Backset: 2-3/4”. Key Override: Key-in-lever cylinder (XS) with Schlage SC Cylinder included, keyed different (see "Keying Options" below).
